Brief
Design a new sports drink bottle and label with a unique selling point and develop an advertising strategy to demonstrate the new brand.
Strategies & Solutions
This design needed to capture the unique selling point for this new sports drink. I chose dancers as there are currently few products targeted directly at them. After designing many different logos, I ultimately decided on a fairly simple typographic logo which results in clearer visibility on a bottle label. Hard Sports font was used as the basis for Whirl then the twirl tool in Illustrator was used to twirl the top of the ‘I’ and bottom of the ‘H’ to create a cool effect. Bauhaus 93 font was used for the tagline as it complements Hard Sports well. Adobe Garamond Pro would be used for paragraph text that needs to be clearly readable such as on the website. The colours used represent different flavours.
