Design a wraparound book cover for an up and coming author in the horror genre.

Strategies & Solutions

As this design was for the horror genre, it needed to be dark and spooky. I experimented with designs using a scratched backdrop or using satanic symbols. However, I felt that the design using a haunted looking house conveyed the story the best. Adding fog and dark storm clouds cast an even spookier atmosphere over the book cover. Initially, I had planned to include a ghostly devil as well but thought that this cluttered the overall design. The fonts chosen for the title and author also contribute to the horror of the tale within.
